The confirmed entry for the season finale

F1 Academy announced on 5 November that Luna Fluxa Cross will take the Wild Card entry for its 2026 Las Vegas finale. The 16-year-old Spaniard will drive Hitech’s number 10 car with Visit Las Vegas support. The official calendar places the weekend on 19–21 November. This confirms participation in that event, rather than a permanent seat for 2027. Her debut still lies ahead, and the announcement contains no race result from the finale.

From karting to single-seater experience

According to the championship’s profile, Fluxa Cross began karting aged six and joined the Mercedes junior programme in 2022. In 2024 she entered the Champions of the Future Academy Program through F1 Academy’s DISCOVER YOUR DRIVE initiative and won the OK-N Senior category. Those milestones describe her development background. They should not be confused with a championship or race victories in F1 Academy itself, where Las Vegas is due to mark her debut.

Her first Formula 4 season

Her transition to single-seaters in 2026 included a podium in the Eurocup-4 Spanish Winter Championship at Portimão. She also contested Spanish F4, with the official announcement identifying eighth at Aragón as her best finish. At this year’s F1 Academy Rookie Test she placed sixth in both sessions. Test times, however, are different from race classifications and do not determine where she will finish when the Las Vegas weekend takes place later this month.

How to assess the debut

APEX analysis: the useful opening reference points for a newcomer will include learning procedures, managing traffic and making progress between sessions. A finishing position cannot be inferred from karting achievements or the order in a test session. The Wild Card provides competitive experience within a specific event, and an assessment should account for that context. Official classifications will supply the evidence after the racing; anticipation should not be presented as an outcome she has already achieved. The confirmed Hitech entry is the starting point, rather than a prediction.
