Interlagos welcomes Formula 1 on November 6–8
The 2026 São Paulo Grand Prix takes place on November 6–8 at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace. Formula 1’s official timetable confirms a conventional weekend: two practice sessions on Friday, a third on Saturday, qualifying and Sunday’s race. For viewers in Romania, the Grand Prix is scheduled to start at 19:00 on November 8. This edition does not include a Sprint race.
Every session in Romanian time
The table converts Formula 1’s published local timetable into Bucharest time. During this weekend, São Paulo uses UTC−3 and Romania uses UTC+2, a difference of five hours. FP2 begins at 21:00 on Friday, while the fight for pole position starts at 20:00 on Saturday. The organisers note that the timetable remains subject to change; the conversion does not imply a guarantee against delays.

A 4.309-kilometre circuit and a 71-lap race
The race is scheduled for 71 laps of the 4.309-kilometre circuit, covering 305.879 kilometres. The Senna S begins the lap, followed by the run towards Turn 4 and an infield section with changes in camber. The climb towards the final part of the lap completes the layout. These landmarks provide useful context for television pictures and for understanding where differences between sectors develop.
What to watch before qualifying
APEX analysis: three practice sessions provide more opportunities to adjust the car than a Sprint weekend. For a useful comparison, separate single-lap attempts from longer runs, then consider the teams’ explanations of tyres and fuel. An isolated practice position does not establish the race order. Friday evening should supply the first clues, with Saturday qualifying providing the direct contest for grid position. The timetable above is the starting reference for following the action; any subsequent interruption or revised start time needs confirmation from the official session communications.
