Grand Prix points
In a full race, the top ten receive 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1 points. The constructor totals the points of its two drivers. These are championship points, not a system that rewards every overtake.
Sprint and fastest lap
In a Sprint, the top eight score points, from 8 down to 1. The fastest-lap bonus was removed from the 2025 season onwards. Do not apply an old season’s rules to current standings.
Exceptional cases
Interrupted or shortened races may use different points scales, depending on distance covered and the conditions specified by the FIA. Ties on points are resolved through countback, starting with the number of better results.
