The hypothesis comes before the component
An upgrade begins with an objective: aerodynamic efficiency, cooling, stability or a broader operating window. Simulations and the wind tunnel provide estimates, but the track remains where real interactions must be validated.
Comparisons require similar conditions
A faster lap does not by itself prove that a component is successful. Fuel, tyres, temperature, traffic and energy deployment can change lap times. Teams use controlled comparisons and multiple observations.
How we report an upgrade
APEX separates a team statement from visual observation and editorial conclusions. An estimated gain is not a demonstrated one. Without a verifiable source, we do not publish invented performance figures or effects.
