Ferrari and McLaren complete the top five

The two sources place Lewis Hamilton fourth and Oscar Piastri fifth. Max Verstappen is sixth and Kimi Antonelli seventh in the reports reviewed. These positions describe practice, rather than the grid for the Sprint or Grand Prix.

A problem for Hülkenberg

RacingNews365 reports that Nico Hülkenberg stopped on track in the Audi, triggering a Virtual Safety Car period. The car could be recovered from the pit-exit area. The report reviewed does not establish the technical cause of the problem.

What one practice session can tell us

APEX interpretation: the FP1 order offers an initial reference, but cannot establish the qualifying pecking order by itself. Fuel loads, tyres and run programmes can affect comparisons. Norris's position does not automatically prove that all McLaren's difficulties are resolved, while the gap between the Mercedes drivers cannot by itself settle the comparison of aerodynamic specifications.

Sprint Qualifying is next

Formula 1's official schedule lists Sprint Qualifying at 15:30 Romanian time on Friday. This weekend has only one free practice session. Race Hub provides timings and sources, while the Mercedes and Norris articles retain the technical context of their preparations for Singapore.
